    Longgang District is rated as the nation’s fifth leading district by CCID Consulting

    On August 05, the Urban Economy Institute of CCID Consulting released the Research Report on the High-Quality Development of China’s Urban Economies 2025 and publicized the top 100 districts of the nation.6 districts of Shenzhen were subscribed on the List of Top 100 Districts publicized by CCID Consulting. Longgang District, in the northeast of Shenzhen, was placed in the fifth place of the List.CCID Consulting continues to employ the “dual-threshold” assessment criterion, calling for a regional GDP of over 80 billion yuan and the general public budget revenue of over 2 billion yuan. In 2024, the number of the national high-tech enterprises located in the district increased by 204 to 3612; that of the national “little-giant” enterprises specialized in a particular and sophisticated technology increased by 31 to 111, and that of the national “single-champion” enterprises skilled at a particular subdivision of manufacturing increased by 4 to 8.During recent years, Longgang District has also made a great deal in developing emerging industries.     A tennis event would take place in Longgang District of Shenzhen

    The first WTCC (World Tennis Continental Cup) had the news releasing conference and the commencement ceremony in Shenzhen on July 25. Scott Davidoff – a world famous tennis promoter, Zhang Zhizhen – a famous tennis player of China, and other personages attended it.According to the introduction, WTCC 2025 is scheduled to be held from December 26-28 at Shenzhen Universiade Stadium, which is located in Longgang District of Shenzhen.     Over 20,000 athletes are estimated to participate in the finals of The 15th National Games

    On the afternoon of July 25, The State Council Information Office of the PRC held a news conference on the preparation for the upcoming 15th National Games.According to the introduction, the opening ceremony of The 15th National Games is scheduled to happen in Guangzhou of south China’s Guangdong Province on November 9, while the closing ceremony is due to occur in Shenzhen of Guangdong Province on November 21. It is estimated that over 15,000 athletes would participate in the finals of the 419 events of the 34 competitive sports, with 57 events among them held before the opening ceremony. And, around 11,000 athletes are estimated to participate in the finals of the 166 events across the 23 mass sports competitions, 148 events of which shall be held before the opening ceremony.Tong Lixin, deputy director of the Organizing Committee of The 15th National Games and deputy director of General Administration of Sport of China, expressed at the news conference that 19 cities, including Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Hong Kong, Macao, are appointed for holding the events of the National Games, considered the characteristics of the cities and sports. The arrangement is based on the principle that Guangdong Province should be the main host, while Hong Kong and Macao should be given priority and respected. In detail, Hong Kong shall host 39 events of 8 competitive sports and 6 events of 1 mass sports competition.     The cycling events of the national games terminated in Longgang District on Jul. 08

    On July 08, The 12th National Games for Persons with Disabilities & the 9th National Special Olympic Games of the People’s Republic of China, got the cycling events terminated in Longgang District of Shenzhen.Since July 01, 188 athletes from 16 teams across China participated in the 46 track cycling events and 59 road cycling events, for the 105 golds.Eventually, the nation’s historical records of 17 events were broken. Guangdong Team got the first place, with 64 gold medals, 43 silver medals and 31 bronze medals.
