A business matchmaking meeting between Shenzhen's Longgang district and Thailand took place at the end of August, fostering dynamic exchanges and stronger business ties between Chinese and Thai enterprises.
The matchmaking event featured Thai delegates sharing market intelligence, while Longgang-based companies presented their expertise and strategic collaboration priorities.
At the event, the Longgang district bureau of commerce presented an overview of the district's profile, industrial development positioning, and urban growth objectives, demonstrating its capacity to support enterprises in expanding into overseas markets.
The Guangzhou Office of the Board of Investment of Thailand interpreted Thailand's latest investment promotion policies and the Eastern Economic Corridor Development Plan, a 20-year initiative to transform eastern Thailand into a high-income innovation hub.
It also provided detailed explanations of key promoted industries, tax incentives, and investment facilitation measures, as well as policy guidance to attract Longgang enterprises to invest in Thailand.
At a subsequent session, enterprise representatives engaged in face-to-face exchanges with representatives of Thai business associations and service institutions on topics including Thailand's investment policies, industrial cooperation opportunities, and compliance for local establishment, with multiple preliminary intentions for cooperation reached on-site.
Three groups of China-Thailand economic and trade cooperation projects were signed at the event, covering chamber-of-commerce cooperation, commercialization of technological innovations, and production-capacity and channel collaboration.
