Intl talents in Shenzhen's Longgang district celebrate Dragon Boat Festival

More than 30 international talents working in universities, including Shenzhen MSU-BIT University and Shenzhen Institute of Information Technology located in Longgang district of Shenzhen in South China's Guangdong province, along with their families, were invited to Longceng sub-district for a get-together on June 13 to celebrate the Dragon Boat Festival.

This event, organized by Longgang talent work bureau and other local authorities, is part of Longcheng's initiative to integrate international talents through traditional Chinese festivals, leveraging the upcoming APEC Economic Leaders Meeting in Shenzhen as an opportunity. It allows participants to explore Longgang's industrial ecosystem and development opportunities, fostering innovation and entrepreneurship among international talents.

Longcheng is committed to creating an international talent community, enhancing service systems to provide a welcoming and enabling environment for talent development.

The event featured visits to the Longgang district Party service center, a Song brocade collage workshop, a tour of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area product center, and traditional sachet making and zongzi tasting. These activities blended cultural experiences with industrial exchange, promoting an open and inclusive atmosphere ahead of the APEC Economic Leaders Meeting and building bridges for international communication.

Participants expressed their appreciation for the cultural insights and opportunities for engagement, with many eager to return for future events, feeling a strong sense of belonging and integration in Longcheng.
