The Smart Senior Care Hub, the first comprehensive smart elderly care flagship space in Shenzhen in South China's Guangdong province, has officially opened in the robotics community in the city's Longgang district.

The Smart Senior Care Hub boasts a neat and modern exterior.
Jointly developed by the Longgang district civil affairs bureau and Shumyip Health Industry Investment Co, this innovative project integrates exhibition, product launches, and leasing services, marking a significant step in embedding technology-driven elderly care into everyday life.
The hub includes four main functional areas: the Life Assistance Zone for everyday convenience, the Health Monitoring Zone for real-time health tracking, the Rehabilitation Zone equipped with professional rehabilitation devices, and the Intelligent Companionship Zone for emotional and entertainment needs.
Open to the public without appointments, the hub features smart mobility aids, rehabilitation equipment, health monitoring devices, and age-friendly home products. Ms Yang, a local resident who lives a five-minute walk from the facility, noted a substantial improvement in access to professional elderly care solutions in her community.

The interior features user-friendly furniture and smart devices.
The hub also offers a platform for tech companies to engage with users. The world's first autonomous elderly care wheelchair made its debut here, featuring radar and high-definition cameras for obstacle avoidance and autonomous navigation.
Company representatives highlighted the hub's role in increasing product exposure and gathering user feedback to support continuous product improvement.
