Longgang expands global tech footprint via BEYOND Expo

Longgang district of Shenzhen has strengthened cross-border tech cooperation and expanded its global market presence through a prominent showing at the BEYOND Expo in Macao during May 27-31.

As a dynamic global platform spotlighting international tech advancements and fostering a culture of tech and innovation in Asia, the event marks a key step forward in the district’s push to connect local innovators with international opportunities.

Thirty enterprises from Longgang showcase their products at the district’s dedicated booth during the expo.

Thirty high-quality Longgang enterprises took center stage at a dedicated district pavilion, covering high-end intelligent manufacturing, AI and digital economy, semiconductors and integrated circuits, and low-altitude economy.

The roster includes national manufacturing champions, specialized "Little Giant" enterprises, and listed industry leaders. Over the course of the expo, they engaged with nearly 600 potential clients and secured preliminary orders worth nearly 15 million yuan ($2.2 million).

A Shenzhen-Macao Tech Industry Cooperation and Exchange Seminar was held alongside the expo. Co-hosted by Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of Shenzhen Municipal People's Government and People's Government of Longgang District, the event gathered about 60 representatives from tech enterprises, associations and institutions, focusing on deepening industrial links and access to Portuguese-speaking markets.

A Shenzhen-Macao Tech Industry Cooperation and Exchange Seminar is held alongside the expo.

Capitalizing on the forum, the Macao Science and Technology Association plans to invite a delegation of more than 40 overseas enterprises and investment institutions to visit Longgang, aiming to foster in-depth exchanges and explore practical cooperation projects.

As Shenzhen's industrial powerhouse, Longgang has ranked first among China's top 100 industrial districts for eight consecutive years. In 2025, its GDP exceeded 600 billion yuan, with R&D investment accounting for 14.9 percent of GDP. The district provides comprehensive services to support local enterprises in global expansion.
