Shenzhen Longgang Science and Technology City Foreign Language School ("Kewai") in Longgang district of Shenzhen in South China's Guangdong province has been recognized as a pilot school for Asia-Africa youth AI education exchange by United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization.
The announcement was made at UNESCO headquarters in Paris, France on March 27, when the 2026 UNESCO AI Day concluded. This prestigious event brought together leading figures in global AI education.
At the event, Kewai showcased its educational philosophy and achievements in AI education. As an exemplary case of AI education in China, Kewai's story was prominently featured at the 2026 UNESCO AI Day International Summit on AI Education, sharing China's advancements in AI education with the world.
Being selected as a pilot school and an exemplary case signifies authoritative recognition of the school's educational success. It also grants Kewai priority participation in future official UNESCO activities. UNESCO will continue to organize various domestic and international exchange and innovation activities for the faculty and students of pilot schools.
In recent years, Kewai has focused on innovation education, developing a comprehensive curriculum system. This includes over 10 specialized courses such as graphical programming, Python programming, robotics, future engineering, and invention creation.
In the past year, the school received multiple accolades, including being named "2026 Shenzhen Primary and Secondary School AI Education Application Experimental School" and "2025 Longgang District Outstanding Innovation Education School."
