Children wave their arms at the music exchange event.
Three children's choirs took part in a multicultural music exchange at the School of Music, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen (CUHK-Shenzhen).
The event brought together the "Xiaohuatong" Choir from Badeng Community, Nanyuan Street, Futian district, along with two other children's choirs, for an exchange focused on ethnic culture and child-friendly activities.
The program fully includes APEC multicultural elements. Children learn calypso folk songs such as The Papaya Song under professional guidance. They explore the cultural meaning behind the music, experience the artistic charm of different regions, and broaden their international vision and understanding.
Through chorus performances and experience sharing, children of various ethnic groups enjoy the charm of intangible cultural heritage music. They gain stage experience at a top art venue and build friendships through interaction.
The activity shows the unity and integration of diverse ethnic cultures in China, and promotes cultural communication in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
