A business delegation led by the president of the Malaysia-Shenzhen General Chamber of Commerce, recently visited Longgang district, Shenzhen.
Officials from Longgang's United Front Work Department, Bureau of Commerce, Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese and relevant chambers held friendly talks with the overseas Chinese group, discussing hometown connections and cooperation opportunities.
As a key overseas Shenzhen-based organization, the chamber has long maintained close hometown links. This trip is both a cross-border reunion and a practical effort to fuel high-quality development using overseas Chinese resources.
During the forum, Longgang introduced its economic progress, enterprise international service bases, support policies for Southeast Asian market expansion and related platform services. Chamber representatives shared preparations for the 9th International Conference of Shenzhen Associations 2026, inviting Longgang to join a Kuala Lumpur delegation, strengthening trade and cultural exchanges.
The delegation praised Longgang’s strong industrial foundation, favorable policies and robust service system, calling it an ideal hub for enterprises entering Southeast Asia and for overseas Chinese investment.
The group toured local associations and enterprises focusing on intelligent manufacturing, drones and cross-border e-commerce. In-depth discussions on product selection, logistics, overseas warehouses and localized operations yielded practical cooperation ideas. Many merchants vowed to bring Longgang’s products, technologies and models to Malaysia, acting as its overseas spokespersons and civil ambassadors.
