Longgang district signed a framework agreement with TUV Rheinland, the Longgang Bureau of Commerce and Shenzhen University of Information Technology on March 25. This move aims to jointly build a research and training base for low-altitude technology testing and certification.
As a top industrial district in China, Longgang hosts nearly 200 low-altitude economy enterprises. However, it has long faced high costs and long cycles for overseas certification, as local firms had to travel to Europe for related services. The new base is set to enable local firms to complete full testing and certification locally, improving efficiency and strengthening the industrial chain.
Under the government-industry-university model, the three parties will train professional personnel and promote the integration of education, talent, industry and innovation chains to nurture a high-quality workforce for the sector.
Supported by TUV Rheinland's global network, local enterprises will gain one-stop international compliance services to better access global markets. This is poised to also assist enterprises in upgrading from product exports to standard and brand exports, enhancing the global influence of the low-altitude industry in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
Longgang plans to expand such cooperation to AI and industrial robots, aiming to build a comprehensive international testing platform and boost high-quality, globalized development of its advanced industries.
