Longgang District in Shenzhen inaugurated its OpenHarmony Application Innovation Lab at the Longgang Smart Center on March 18, a key move to advance the national information innovation and build a secure digital government.
The lab aims to solve pain points in the adaptation and transformation of government information systems, and bolster the development of Longgang as an "OpenHarmony District" and Shenzhen as an "OpenHarmony City".
Partners in the OpenHarmony ecosystem, including those from Huawei, Shenzhen Kaihong Digital Industry and China DataCom, showcased their latest technologies at the launch. They pledged to work together to advance the ecosystem and build model government applications.
Initiated by Longgang's Government Services and Data Administration Bureau, the lab adopts a hybrid operation model led by the government, supported by state-owned enterprises and joined by ecosystem partners.
Positioned as a "base, platform and center" for verification, industrial empowerment and talent training, it will offer five major services covering the whole industrial chain of digital government construction.
Going forward, Longgang will put the lab into full operation, foster an OpenHarmony industrial cluster and build benchmark application scenarios, striving to become a national pioneer zone for the OpenHarmony ecosystem.
