Wutip -- the No.1 typhoon of this year, comes, as its core reached the sea about 205 kilometers southeast to Sanya City of Hainan Province at 5 o’clock in this morning and is moving towards the coastal area along south Hainan Island, at a speed of about 10 kilometers/h, according to Ministry of Natural Resources of the People’s Republic of China.
With the increasing intensity, Typhoon Wutip is forecast to hit the coastal area spanning from Lingshui to Ledong of Hainan Province, from the next dawn to morning.
From this noon to the next, Typhoon Wutip would cause huge and raging waves breaking in the west of South China Sea, and great and huge waves lapping on the immediate offshore areas in the east and south of Hainan Province. Guangdong Province and Hainan Province both gave the warnings against the consequent storm tides.
According to the forecast from Meteorological Bureau of Shenzhen Municipality, Typhoon Wutip would bring the city strong winds and heavy rains. Citizens are advised to take precautions against the severe weather.
