2025 IIHF Ice Hockey Women’s World Championship Division Ⅰ, Group A ended on April 19, at Gymnasium of Shenzhen Universide Center in Longgang District of Shenzhen.
Denmark, France, Austria, Slovakia, the Netherlands, and China competed in the single round-robin tournament, consisting of 15 contests. According to the rules, the first ranking and second ranking would guarantee the promotion, but worst performance would result in the relegation.
Eventually, being undefeated in the tournament, Austria won the championship and earned the promotion to the Top Division for the first time in its history. Denmark joined Austria in the Top Division with a silver medal.
The bronze medal went to Slovakia, while France and the host - China were ranked fourth and fifth in the standings, all safeguarding their position in Division Ⅰ, Group A.
Unfortunately, the Netherlands ended up with the worst performance and would be demoted to Division Ⅰ, Group B.
