Longgang district in Shenzhen has launched a cross-border e-commerce tour to help domestic companies reach North American retail channels, with the first stop in Yiwu, Zhejiang Province on Oct 16.

The tour is organized by Longgang Foreign Economic Development and KUDOS, which together established the North America Retail Channel Longgang Operation Center. This center, located at the Longgang Enterprise Internationalization Service Base, connects North American channel resources with Chinese exporters.

The five-city tour is set to visit Yiwu, Ningbo, Zhengzhou, Changsha and Shenzhen in October, focusing on North American channel expansion, capital management and compliance. Each stop uses a mix of themed sharing, roundtable discussions and one-on-one consultations.

Speakers are set to explain entry paths for major North American retailers including Amazon, Walmart, Target, Lowe's and Home Depot, share approaches to capital coordination and outline compliance planning for cross-border operations.

A Longgang Foreign Economic Development Co. official stated that Yiwu's small commodities, Ningbo's manufacturing, Zhengzhou's hub economy, and Changsha's specialty industries are well-known Chinese brands in the North American market.

Companies from these industrial regions are at various stages of global expansion; some are transitioning from selling single products to expanding across multiple channels, while others are facing challenges related to large orders, stock preparation, and payment terms. The purpose of the tour is to provide North American market information, channel expertise, and professional services from Longgang to industrial clusters throughout the country.
