Over 80 billion delivery parcels handled in China during the first half of 2024

According to State Post Bureau of the People’s Republic of China, China’s express delivery sector handled over 80 billion delivery parcels during the first half of 2024, by June 30, being 59 days earlier than 2023.

Averagely, the express companies around China collected over 13 billion delivery parcels each month during the first half of the year. Especially in June, about 0.5 billion of parcels were handled each day.

China’s express delivery sector soared, playing a positive role in boosting consumption, facilitating production, improving people’s living standards etc.

Expressed by State Post Bureau, together with the large-scale upgrading of equipment and consumer goods, China’s express companies seized the chance for a new development, abandoning the old-fashion sorting and security-check equipment rapidly, applying more new-energy automobiles, and pushing digital and low-carbon upgrading of device. Meanwhile, the express companies also employed new development modes, to cut logistics cost and to further improve the contribution of the industry.
