Shenzhen’s and Longgang’s Numbers in The Sixth CIIE

On Nov. 05, The Sixth China Intertnational Import Expo (CIIE) began in Shanghai, with the theme as "New Era, Shared Future". On Nov. 10, the Expo closed, with the intended transaction amount of the follow year reaching 78.41 billion dollars, increasing by 6.74% as compared to that of the last year.

Shenzhen always keeps vigorous in the partcipation in China International Import Expo, with its transaction volume totalling 14 billion dollars during the last five China International Import Expos. And, at The Sixth China International Import Expo, the transaction volume of Shenzhen’s enterprises reaches about 5 billion dollars until now.

21 of the enterprises in Longgang District of Shenzhen participated in the Expo, and 3 enterprises among them signed cooperation contracts on the first day, with the contracts’ amount intended to be over 70 million dollars.

China International Import Expo can serve newest technologies, products and services, as well as the industrial chains and value chains necessitated by cities and enterprises. “Due to China International Import Expo, we can get the links with global first-grade products, technologies and services just without going outside China”, the chief of Shenzhen General Chamber of Commerce expressed.

It is reported that Shenzhen’s enterprises tend to make deals in the industries as electronic science, biological health, energy chemistry, service trading, food, agricultural product. This just coincides with the tendency of Shenzhen’s modern industrial development.

Besides, Shenzhen also organizes investment attraction conferences in the mean time, to attract foreign investment to Shenzhen.

To attract foreign investment, Shenzhen has taken a series of measures to optimize the business environment, innovation atmosphere, industrial chain, and supply chain, and to promote its openning up.

It is reported that Shenzhen leads China in the quality and quantity of the foreign investment. In the first half of 2023, Shenzhen introduced investment from 92 nations and regions, with the total amount achieving a year-on-year increase of 10.6%. Enterprises in Switzerland, England, Singapore and many other nations become confident in investing in Shenzhen.
