To further create an order and clean city environment, bolster consumption, foster market vigor, the Office of Jihua Sub-district took citizens’ need into consideration, formulated certain policies, and made great efforts to renovate Nanmen Square of Gankeng Hakka Town, to improve the business environment and to make contributions to the improvement of civilization. At Gankeng Hakka Town - a place of interest in Longgang District, 19 new booths were erected, which created more market space for the vendors and helped create a crowded atmosphere.

A member from Team of Comprehensive Administration and Law Enforcement under the Office of Jihua Sub-district expressed that as a well-known scenic spot in Shenzhen, Gankeng Hakka Town becomes more and more popular among visitors. Meanwhile, roadside booths become commonplace, which disrupted the market order and increased the risks of traffic accidents. Citizens complained heavily for this.

The related authorities in Longgang tried to conduct a reasonable arrangement on the layout of the booths and erect traffic signs to guarantee traffic space.

“The Office of Jihua Sub-district increased the number of booths for us and conducted uniform administration. We do not need to find a space everywhere for the trade”, a woman vendor at Nanmen Square of Gankeng Hakka Town said.
