Final of the 7th China (Shenzhen) Innovation & Entrepreneurship International Competition to be held in Longgang District of Shenzhen (04.18)

According to the news from Shenzhen Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau of China, the final of the 7^th China (Shenzhen) Innovation & Entrepreneurship International Competition (named “international competition” in the following) would be held in Longgang District of Shenzhen on April 18.

China (Shenzhen) Innovation & Entrepreneurship International Competition is a significant competition for promoting innovation and exchanges among worldwide talents. The international competition is hosted by People’s Government of Shenzhen Municipality, and undertaken by Shenzhen Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau and the related authorities of Nanshan District, Bao’an District, Longgang District, Longhua District, Guangming District of Shenzhen.

To promote Shenzhen’s industrial development, the competition consists of 7 industrial matches involving electronic information, digital fashion, high-end instrument manufacturing, green and low-carbon sector, new materials, biomedicine and health, and marine economy. 14 competition divisions are set up in 13 nations worldwide. 3,265 projects are attracted internationally, and 2,768 ones of them qualify for the international competition.

“The number of those applying to participate in the international competition sees a growth of 64.69% as compared to last season, reaching 3,531, which breaks the historical record. More than 50% of the participants are with doctor degree or above. More than 60% of the participants are foreigners” introduced by the spokesman of     Shenzhen Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau.

Getting through the preliminaries, 185 projects are promoted to the industrial marches, held in Shenzhen’s districts like Bao’an District, Longgang District, Longhua District, Guangming District on April 15 and April 16. Then, 21 projects selected would compete for the final championship on April 18.

The 7^th China (Shenzhen) Innovation & Entrepreneurship International Competition prepares 9710,000-yuan prizes totally. A winner would at most gain 750,000 yuan for the prize, apart for the investment fund for the entrepreneurship. A project to be implemented and commercialized in Shenzhen would have the chance to additionally gain a subsidy worth 1000,000 yuan at most. And, many other preferential policies and policies are available for the innovative and entrepreneurial activities.

To fully showcase Shenzhen’s landscape and business environment, the host of the international competition would also organize “Fly with Shenzhen -- international innovation talents touring Shenzhen” event, introducing related policies, touring around the city, visiting Shenzhen’s industry-leading enterprises and science institutions and the like.
