As introduced by Shenzhen’s related authority, Shenzhen has averagely 12 national-level high-tech enterprises on its per square kilometer land, as calculated at the end of 2023.
As many industrial products, including ECMO, China-made smart phone, new-energy vehicle, become more and more popular at market, many innovative enterprises in Shenzhen grew fast in 2023.
National-level high-tech enterprises prosper simultaneously in Shenzhen. Now, Shenzhen gathers 742 national-level specialized and sophisticated “little-giant” enterprises and over 24,000 national-level high-tech enterprises.
What’s more, Shenzhen’s input into R&D increases by 12.2% averagely each year from 2020 to 2022. Shenzhen keeps investing more in research and development during the past 10 years to promote innovation. Its input into R&D has increased from 64.3 billion yuan in 2014 to 188.049 billion yuan, with the proportion in GDP increasing from 4.02% to 5.81%.
