In Shenzhen, Longgang District, especially Henggang Subdistrict, is noted for its eyewear industry:

There are 672 eyewear manufacturers in Longgang District, accounting for 88.6% of Shenzhen’s total.

There are 2,368 eyewear trading enterprises, accounting for 48.9% of Shenzhen’s total.

There are 924 eyewear wholesale enterprises, accounting for 66.2% of Shenzhen’s total.

Longgang District's eyewear industry has a yearly output of 15 billion yuan, with a export ratio of over 80%.

Longgang District has over 200 eyewear designers, including 90% of China’s high-end eyewear designers.

Longgang District could produce 125 million pieces of moderate and high-end eyewear, covering over 50% of world’s total.
