On Sept. 21, Shenzhen Work Uniform Design Competition for Urban Beauticians begins, with the theme as “Care·Fashion·Innovation”.
Urban beauticians, including environmental sanitation workers, landscaping workers, urban lighting system maintenance workers, garden management and maintenance workers, play an important role to urban management and social development, in keeping the city clean and keeping the society in order.
The Design Competition is launched by Shenzhen Municipal Urban Management and Coordinated Law Enforcement Bureau and Shenzhen Federation of Trade Union, to design more comfortable and better-looking work uniforms for “urban beauticians”, so as to improve their satisfaction with work and sense of pride in work.
At the launching ceremony of the Design Competition, Li Jinbao, a member of Maintenance and Supervision Office under Shenzhen Municipal Urban Management and Coordinated Law Enforcement Bureau, expresses that the Design Competition is hosted in order to arouse more care and attention to “urban beauticians”, to provide higher-quality work uniforms to them, to provide more guarantees for their work, to improve the image of the urban maintenance workers, and to show the characteristics and culture of the fashion city.
It is reported that the Design Competition would be divided into four parts: designing work uniforms for environmental sanitation workers, designing uniforms for landscaping workers, designing uniforms for urban illumination system maintenance workers and designing uniforms for garden management and maintenance workers. Employees from related industries, cloth designers, and teachers and students from related colleges and universities, all over China, could take part in the Design Competition. The Design Competition would last to November. The result of the preliminary would be publicized in late October, and the final would be hosted in middle November.
