The Phantom Of The Opera -- Chinese Version would have a performing tour over China. And, the performing tour would begin at Bay Opera of Shenzhen from Jun. 13 to Jul. 02, with 24 performances.
The Phantom Of The Opera is a classical musical which have been staged for over 65,000 at 186 cities worldwide, with the ticket revenue reaching 6 billion dollars and the audiences surpassing 160 million. The musical has won over 70 rewards until now. And, it has 18 language versions, including the Chinese version.
The musical -- The Phantom Of The Opera is directed by Harold Prince. It tells a story between Erik -- the phantom of a disfigured music talent floating in an opera and Christine -- a young actress.
The Phantom Of The Opera, in original version, has ever been staged for 33 times at Hong Kong of China and for about 40 times at Guangzhou Opera House during 2014-2015. On May 02, 2023, the musical had its first rehearsal performance at Shanghai Grand Theatre.
Since last July, The Phantom Of The Opera began to select actors for its Chinese version. “Who are for the Phantom and Christine in China” has ever been a hot topic. The production crew of the original-version musical have selected about 40 musical, opera and dancing actors strictly. After Ayanga (Chinese name: Ayunga) , Liam(Chinese name: Liu Lingfei) and He Liangchen, on Jun. 01, Jia Ma was selected as the fourth actor for the role of “phantom”. And, he would give his first performance in Shenzhen.
