On May 11, China National Immigration Administration released an announcement, stating four adjustments to the exit and entry management policies and measures, for providing more convenience for people’s entering and leaving China and improving the service for opening up.
Continuing completely the quick customs clearance formalities at ports:
On the premise that the quick immigration inspection and clearance formalities have been recovered on Jan. 08 at the port neighboring Hong Kong and Macao, it is permitted, according to the related standards and regulations before the outbreak of the pandemic, that quick customs inspection channel can be available to Chinese citizens holding Ordinary Passport of PRC, Exit-Entry Permit for Travelling to and from Hong Kong and Macao, Exit-Entry Permit for Travelling to and from Taiwan, Mainland Travel Permit for Hong Kong and Macao Residents, Mainland Travel Permit for Taiwan Residents (with a validity period of five years), China Exit and Entry Permit for Several Journeys within One Year; foreigners holding a passport of any other country, PRC Foreigner’s Permanent Residence Card, an electronic passport of any other country, PRC Foreigner’s Permanent Residence Permit with a Validity Period of over Six Months; Chinese employees for regular international flights, and the foreign employees who are visa free or with Crew Visa, Employment Visa or Residence Permit with a validity period of one year and above.

Mainland citizens could apply to any Exit and Entry Management Office under Public Security Organs in China, for the tourist endorsement for travelling to Hong Kong and Macao. And the formalities keep the same, whether it is at the place of birth or not.
China mainland citizens could apply for permits for visiting relatives, working or studying in Hong Kong and Macao, nationwide, not only at the place of birth
China mainland citizens, needing to go to Hong Kong and Macao for relative visit, work, study, medical advice and treatment, litigation or other purposes, can apply to any Exit and Entry Management Office under Public Security Organs in China, for the corresponding endorsement, among the relative-visit endorsement, stay endorsement and endorsement for other matters. And, the formalities keep the same, whether it is at the place of birth or not.
Adjusting the stay endorsement’s validity period for the mainland students studying in Macao
The Exit and Entry Management Office under Public Security Organs in China will adjust the endorsement’s validity period for the student studying in the universities and colleges in Macao, from one year to the period same with the time that they need to study in Macao.
