The Flower Show, which is hosted by The People’s Government of Shenzhen Municipality and undertaken by Foreign Affairs Office of The People’s Government of Shenzhen Municipality and The People’s Government of Luohu District, Shenzhen, sets the theme “Flower and Dream”,using azaleas as its main flowers.

At the opening ceremony, Zhang Guohong -- the director of Shenzhen Municipal City Management and Comprehensive Law Enforcement Bureau, said the flower show in every Spring has become an expected event for the citizens in the Greater Bay Area. The purpose of the GBA Flower Show is to spread the concept of ecological civilization, promote the cooperation and communication in the Greater Bay Area, enrich citizens’ cultural life, push the flower industry’s development, and satisfy citizens’ wish for a better life.
“Shenzhen is making full efforts to promoting its green and ecological construction. We hope to meet more partners and make the industries prosperous through the Flower Show. And, we also hold the sincere wish that people from different circles of the society could give more concern and support to the GBA Flower Show, to Shenzhen’s cause of turning the land green with gardens and woods, and could reach cooperation in building beautiful Greater Bay Area, beautiful China and beautiful world ”, expressed Zhang.
As introduced, to give encouragement to the excellent enterprises and talents in the plant landscaping industry, landscape design industry, flower cultivation iddustry, and to improve garden arts and ornamental breeding, the organzing committee of the Flower Show sets different awards for the gardens and flower exhibitions in the show.
The GBA Flower Show orginated in the year of 2019. Until now, there have been 3 Flower Shows held. It has been a “card” of Shenzhen and an improtant event for garden arts and flower exhibitons.
2023 GBA Flower Show shall last 10 days to Apr. 17. The main site is Shenzhen Fairy Lake Batonical Garden, and sub-site is Xiangmi Lake - Four-Season Flower Valley. It has the participants from 13 nations and areas. The exhibition area reaches 22,500 square meters, with over 1,000 excellent and new flower breeds exhibited. There are 22 exquisite garden by China and foreign desigers in the Flower Show, including 9 international-style gardens and 6 city gardens. Besides, the Flower Show also has rich and diversified cultural activities and events for the visitors.
