A hospital being available after reconstructed, Longgang does more

The Fourth People’s Hospital of Longgang District has been reconstructed and relocated to No. 2, Jinjian Road of Nanwan Subdistrict in Longgang District, and it began to provide medical service on Nov. 28 of 2023.

The hospital at its new address covers a floor area of 108,800 square meters and has 500 hospital beds and 750 underground parking spaces. 938 million yuan has been invested in the reconstruction and relocation, and another 220 million yuan is used for purchasing advanced medical equipment.

The hospital now can provide medical diagnosis and treatment, illness prevention, health care and other medical services. And, it is the first hospital in Longgang District to introduce multi-function self-service devices with facial recognition function, through which patients could make an appointment with the doctor, pay fort the medial bill, enquire the medical information, print medical report, etc.

To improve its medical technologies and medical services, the hospital would cooperate with The First Affiliated Hospital of Shantou University Medical College in building Shenzhen Branch to The First Affiliated Hospital of Shantou University Medical College. Furthermore, The Fourth People’s Hospital of Longgang District also plans to establish Longgang Subsidiary of Guangdong Provincial Diabetes Treatment Center.

Except for the relocation and reconstruction of The Fourth People’s Hospital of Longgang District, Longgang District has done more to improve its medical services. In 2023, Health Management Building of Longgang District People’s Hospital of Shenzhen, as well as an Yuanshan Branch of Shenzhen Hospital of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, has been open to the patients.

Besides, many other hospitals are being established or reconstructed in Longgang District. The Second People’s Hospital of Longgang District would be reconstructed and available at the end of 2024.

By 2025, over 20,000 hospital beds would be in service in Longgang District.
