On August 25, Lang Lang -- a world-renowned pianist is appointed again as Shenzhen Goodwill Ambassador.
The Appointment Ceremony is organized by People’s Government of Shenzhen Municipality, and hosted by Foreign Affairs Office of People’s Government of Shenzhen Municipality. At the Ceremony, Zhang Ling, member of the Standing Committee of Shenzhen Municipal Committee of CPC and head of Publicity Department of Shenzhen Municipality Committee of CPC, presents Lang Lang with the Letter of Appointment.
At the Ceremony, Lang Lang expresses, “I feel like that Shenzhen is just like my home. Every time I speak of Shenzhen, I feel proud. I hope more people could give more attention to Shenzhen, settle at Shenzhen, and just like me, treat Shenzhen as home.”
During the Appointment Ceremony, Lang Lang also plays two piano pieces -- Jasmine Flower, It’s a small world.
It is known that Lang Lang was firstly appointed as Shenzhen Goodwill Ambassador in 2012. Since then, he keeps introducing Shenzhen and telling the story of Shenzhen, through the medium of music at his different performances, to make Shenzhen being recognized more widely, improve Shenzhen’s international influence and to spread Shenzhen’s foreign exchange and cooperation.
