The organizing committee of 19th Asian Games Hangzhou 2022 expresses that it has decided to cancel two roller skating events: man’s artistic roller skating -- single, and mixed artistic roller skating-- double ice dancing, as with the consent from Olympic Council of Asia.
Under the consent from Olympic Council of Asia, the application for taking part in 19th Asia Games Hangzhou 2022 should begin at June 01, 2023 and end at July 18, 2023. During the period, the organizing committee has received 12,500 applications.
And, according to related rules, games under Olympic Council of Asia should have a sport, as Olympic Committees of 6 nations (regions) has applied to participate in the sport and at least Olympic Committees of 4 nations (regions) could be present at the competition site before the beginning of the sports.
The organizing committee of 19th Asian Games Hangzhou 2022 analyzes the application data, applies to Olympic Council of Asia, and gains the consent to cancel the two artistic roller skating events.
Therefore, 19th Asian Games Hangzhou 2022 would have 40 sports, 61 disciplines and 481 events.
