Longgang District Being China’s Number-One Industrial District Again

On Dec. 07, County’s Industrial Economy Development Forum(2023) is held in Longgang District of Shenzhen. This Forum is hosted by China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (simply called “CAICT”), supported by Department of Industry and Information Technology of Guangdong Province, and organized by Industry and Information Technology Bureau of Shenzhen Municipality and Longgang District People’s Government of Shenzhen. 

The Forum is focused on promoting the new industrialization. The Panorama of the Development of Industrial Economy in China’s Counties and the List of China’s Top100 Counties/District/Innovative Counties are also released during the Forum. And, it’s the sixth time that Longgang District has topped the List.

At the Forum, Wang Cefei -- the deputy secretary of Longgang District Committee of CPC and the head of Longgang District, shares Longgang District’s experiences and achievements in pushing the construction of the new industrialization and the high-quality development of the manufacturing industry.

Li Yizhong -- the former minister of Industry and Information Technology and the president of China Federation of Industrial Economies (CFIE), gives his speech: “Consolidating Counties’ Economic Development and Promoting the New Industralization”. Zhang Wei -- the vice president of National Institute of Finance, Tsinghua University, gives his speech: The Eight Points about Using Finance to Promote the Real Economy’s High-quality Development.

Ao Li -- a chief engineer of CAICT publicizes the Panorama of Chinese Counties’ Industrial Development (2023), the Report about the Development of Chinese Counties’ Industrial Economy (2023), and the Classic Cases of Chinese Counties’ High-quality Industrial Development. Ao Li also releases the List of China’s Top100 Industrial Counties, the List of China’s Top100 Creative Counties, the List of China’s Top100 Industrial Districts, etc. Shenzhen’s 6 districts are listed among China’s Top100 Industrial Districts, and Longgang District of Shenzhen is listed as the number one. Longgang District has been China’s number-one industrial district for consecutive 6 years.

Besides, representatives of different enterprises including Huawei, BYD give their speeches. And, officers from Anning City, Zoucheng City and Longnan City also address and share their experiences and measures to promote the new industrialization. The Initiative of Setting Pioneering Examples for the Promotion of the New Industralization in Counties is also launched during the Forum, to propose counties and districts to explore the new industrialization creatively.
