The district launches the "Fertile Ground, Multiplying Growth" Five-Year Action Plan to foster enterprise development, while the Longgang Virtual Industrial Park is put into trial operation to provide integrated digital services and comprehensive outreach and service mechanisms are implemented to ensure full coverage for all “Four-Up” enterprises (those above designated size in industry, construction, wholesale/retail, and services).
Longgang continues to lead Shenzhen in land consolidation, adding 345 hectares to the land reserve for the fourth consecutive year. With 59 land parcels totaling over 422 hectares successfully transferred, the district also introduces seven contiguous industrial zones—such as Ma’antang in Bantian—spanning 3.2 square kilometers to provide ample space for strategic investment projects.
Longgang continues to foster a world-class innovation ecosystem.
R&D investment reaches 15.8% of the district’s GDP, and the number of PCT international patent applications exceeded 5,800—both the highest in Shenzhen. Major innovation platforms such as the National Third-Generation Semiconductor Innovation Center (Shenzhen Platform) and the Shenzhen Online Industrial Technology Research Institute are now operational. The total number of innovation platforms grows from 309 to 334, making that Longgang District ranks 4th among the Top 100 Innovation Districts in China.
