On December 11, the swimming events of the 12th National Games for Persons with Disabilities and the 9th National Special Olympic Games of the PRC, continued at the natatorium of Shenzhen Universiade Center, in Longgang District of Shenzhen, with 30 golds awarded and 8 national records broken.
Notably:
Huang Xueliang of Guangdong Team broke the nation’s record for men’s 100-m butterfly -- S13 during the Games on December 11, with a score of 01:01:63. It was second time for him to set a new national record during the Games. Previously on December 10, Huang won the men’s 100-m freestyle -- S13 with a national-record-breaking score. And, on the evening of December 11, he won the championship of the men’s 50-m freestyle -- S13 during the Games.
Huang Jianqiu from Guangdong Team set a new national record for the women’s 100-m butterfly -- S13 during the Games, with a score of 01:12:89.
And, Xu Xingshang, a 19-year-old player of Shandong Team broke the nation’s record for the men’s 400-m freestyle -- S12 during the Games on December 11, with a score of 04:19:97, after breaking the national records for the men’s 200-m individual medley -- SM12 on December 09 and the men’s 100-m butterfly -- S12 on December 10. Besides on the evening of December 11, Xu and his teammates won the gold for the 4×100m mixed medley -- S49. It was the fourth gold medal that he has gained in the Games, by the time.
