Dec. 10 | Swimming events of the 12th National Games for Persons with Disabilities and the 9th National Special Olympic Games of the PRC, taking place in Longgang District of Shenzhen

On December 10, swimming events of the 12th National Games for Persons with Disabilities and the 9th National Special Olympic Games of the PRC, continued at the natatorium of Shenzhen Universiade Center, in Longgang District of Shenzhen, with 33 golds awarded and 12 national records broken.

Notably:

Liu Jiaming from Zhejiang Team won the gold for the men’s 100-m breaststroke -- SB14, breaking the national records in the preliminary and final of the event. On the previous day, he also set new national records for the men’s 200-m freestyle -- S14 in the preliminary and final of the event.

Huang Jianqiu from Guangdong Team set a new national record for the women’s 100-m freestyle -- S13 during the Games.

“From 2021 to now, I trained hard for 6-7 hours each day. I’m excited at the medal”, Huang added, “I adore Zhang Yufei and Pan Zhanle very much, and hope the opportunity for the 2028 Los Angeles Paralympic Games”.
