大运新城是“新龙岗·新八景”之一，大运中心是深圳的新地标，特别是大运会的成功举办使大运中心声名远播。大运中心设计新颖，造型独特，三座场馆犹如三颗巨型的水晶石镶嵌在湖面上，体育场为达到“水晶石”的建筑造型，屋盖钢结构采用国内首创的单层空间折面网格结构，该结构是国际上最新颖的一种结构形式，受力体系复杂，首次在国内大型体育建筑当中采用，其加工及安装难度不亚于奥运“鸟巢”。

Universiade Center is the new landmark of Shenzhen and is well known after the successful holding of Shenzhen 26th Summer Universiade. It applies new design and unique mould, and three venues of it looks like three pieces of huge crystals on the lake. For sport venue, in order to achieve the architectural mould of “crystal”, the steel structure in roof adopts domestic first single-layer space folding grid structure, which, as an international new structure form with complex stress system, is applied in domestic large sport building for the first time. Its process and installation difficulty is not less than those of “Bird’s Nest” for Beijing Olympic.

　　龙岗大运中心包括一场两馆，分别是可容纳6万人的主体育场、可容纳1.8万人主体育馆和拥有3000个座位的游泳馆，占地52.05万平米，总建筑面积为29万平米。大运中心的设计不仅满足了举办各种赛事的要求，还充分考虑赛后的运营，现已成为市民休闲健身的好去处。

　　Universiade Center is composed of one stadium and two gymnasiums, the main stadium accommodating about 60,000 people, a main gymnasium accommodating about 18,000 people, and a swimming pool with 3,000 seats. Universiade Center covers an area of 520.5 square meters with a total construction area of 290,000 square meters. Design of Universiade Center not only satisfies requirements to hold various competitions, but also takes full consideration of operation after competition. Now, it is a favorite place for relaxation and fitness of people.
