龙城广场作为市政广场，占地面积15万平方米，场地广阔，造型别致，突显龙岗文化内涵，是龙岗城市建设标志性建筑。
　　Occupying an area of 150,000 square meters, Longcheng Square is a municipal square with wide space and unique mould. It is the landmark of Longgang urban construction, showing the meaning of Longgang culture.
　　广场由三部分组成：A区为市政广场，面积为8000平方米，包括广场、喷泉、青铜九龙雕塑、百报长廊、百龙墨宝等；B区为下沉式音乐广场，是龙城广场的中心，有音控喷泉，主景雕塑、灯架、花坛；C区为休闲观光广场，曾举办过第二届全国舞龙比赛和第三届中国国际舞狮邀请赛，特别是“周末文艺广场”，龙城飞歌实至名归。
　　Longcheng Square is composed of three parts, Area A, Area B and Area C. Area A, the municipal square with an area of 8,000 square meters, covers square, fountain, bronze nine-dragon carves, newspapers galley and dragon calligraphy. Area B, a sunk music square, is the center of Longcheng Square, including acoustical control fountain, main sculpture, lamp holder, and follower bed. Area C is purposed for leisure and sightseeing, where the 2nd National Dragon Dance Tournament and 3rd International Lion Dance Invitational Tournament of China were hold. The Weekend Literature & Art Square is substantially attractive.
