From 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. during August 22-27 -- the days when the gateball finals of the 15th National Games of the PRC took place, the sports carnival themed “Games for All, with Hand in Hand” was held at Shenzhen Universiade Center, in Longgang District of Shenzhen.
The carnival consists of 5 parts, that is, gateball experience activity, spinning activity, fun striking/shooting activity, stroking-exerciser experience activity and stamps-collection raffle. Over 3,000 residents participated in the activities, full of enthusiasm, during the first 3 days of the carnival.
A citizen, who was trying gateball, expressed excitedly, “I have never played gateball before. I try it now and find it fun and strategy-based. My experience is broadened.”
The host of the carnival wished that the activities could attract more citizens to exercise and play sports and to feel by themselves the Games, hence popularizing the idea of hosting “Games for all, with hand in hand”.
