Party centennial decorations adorn the city

Topiaries, flowers and other decorations have adorned Shenzhen's main streets, squares and parks to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC).

A total of 93 decorations with the official logo for centennial celebrations have been installed at key entrances and exits of 22 public parks including Lianhua Hill Park and Shenzhen Bay Park, as well as key district parks such as Nanshan’s Shenzhen Talent Park and Bao’an’s Binhai Cultural Park.

In the meantime, special flower landscapes with a total area of roughly 43,000 square meters have been created in parks, according to the Shenzhen Municipal Urban Administration and Law Enforcement Bureau.

Honghu Park in Luohu District introduced a special lotus species named China Red (中国红) for the centennial celebrations.

Shennan Boulevard was decorated with red flowers and some 320 red bougainvillea trees were planted along the boulevard's median, along with Chinese roses set in an area of nearly 4,500 square meters.

Dotted with red plants, the sculpture presents a 100th anniversary logo, when viewed from the front or above.

At the same time, themed topiaries have been erected at 17 squares including Longcheng Square and City Mall Square.

The front gate of Yangtai Mountain is decorated to mark the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China.

Slogans celebrating the 100th anniversary of the founding of the CPC have been screened on the facade of the city's major buildings including Ping An IFC Tower, Kingkey 100 and NEO Building.

Party anniversary-themed videos have also been played on 353 LED screens in the city.
