The Pinghu transport hub project has recently obtained approval from authorities, which means that the project has entered the substantial construction phase, the Daily Sunshine reported.

The project will be developed in a TOD mode, referring to a mode of intensive development of urban land driven by rail transport. Once completed, the project is expected to improve traffic conditions in the central area of Pinghu. The hub will become a commercial and cultural landmark in Pinghu.

This project is the first critical urban renewal unit in Longgang District and also the first urban renewal project developed in a TOD mode in Longgang. The model has efficiently solved the problem of land requisition and demolition of buildings for the construction of Pinghu Station on Metro Line 10 and Pinghu transport hub.

The Guangzhou-Shenzhen railway, Metro Line 10, the Shenzhen-Huizhou intercity rail, Metro Line 17 and Metro Line 18 will pass through the Pinghu transport hub.

The transport hub is adjacent to Pinghu Railway Station. The space for development and construction is 106,622.8 square meters. The area will be built into an urban complex that brings together two kindergartens, residential, commercial and office spaces, hotels, bus terminals and sports facilities.
