On May 17, the opening ceremony for “Dandelion·New Fashion from Meal Boxes” -- takeaway package rubbish classification and recycle in Shenzhen business office buildings, was held at SHIMAO TOWER, Qianhai of Nanshan District, Shenzhen.

Shenzhen Municipal Center for Household Rubbish Classification and Management Affairs initiated a new mode, cooperating with Meituan, a takeaway platform, in launching takeaway package rubbish classification and recycle project in Shenzhen business office buildings, and conducting pilot works, so as to urge the enterprises to classify and recycle takeaway meal boxes voluntarily.

During the event, Shenzhen Municipal Center for Household Rubbish Classification and Management Affairs signed contract with Meituan, noting the official commencement of “Dandelion·New Fashion from Meal Boxes” project.

From the beginning of this year, Shenzhen Municipal Bureau of Coordinated Law Enforcement for Urban Management, cooperated with Meituan in its “Blue Mountain Project” and initiated “Dandelion·New Fashion from Meal Boxes” pilot work in some areas to popularize the recycle of takeaway meal boxes on a large scale. The pilot work started from SHIMAO TOWER in Qianhai of Nanshan District. Creatively, it put forward a new operation mode -- “throwing rubbish at designated spots, collecting  rubbish at designated time, entrusting personnel with designated responsibilities” and “disposing the rubbish works under overall guidance, estate management guidance and guidance of supervisors at the disposal spots”.

Until now, 86 business office buildings, covering 9 districts in Shenzhen, have started takeaway package rubbish classification and recycle, with 809 rubbish spots being built to collect takeaway rubbish at designated time.
